Patrick(Feica) Bradford was born in  Dejarlais, Alberta, Canada on April 6, 1907. He was the son of Dumitru and Anna Feica. In many ways, Pat was what some might call a wanderer, a dreamer, an explorer and a black sheep. Being dubbed a black sheep is not to be considered disparaging in any way. He was brilliant with a mental capacity bordering on genius and the soul of a grifter and a con man.  Patrick changed his last name to Bradford sometime after he  arrived in the U.S.  One reason for the name change was to have a better marque  appeal as a professional boxer which he became sometime in the 1920s. He settled in the Detroit area, but also spent a great deal of time in the Chicago area in the1930s. While in the Battle Creek, Michigan area he met Iris Lucinda Hutchins. They had one child, Patrick, who was born in 1934. He was married at least three times and enlisted in the U.S.  Army and the U.S. Navy and, according to his brother Stephen, was stationed at the Scoville Barracks in Hawaii when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. Patrick saw active duty during WWII and sustained a severe back injury when a ship he was on was sunk. He, tapping into his apparently limitless imagination, creativity and intelligence, designed a back brace for himself. Sometime during his travels he became involved in electronics and was employed at times as an electronic engineer.  During the early 1960s he came to stay with his brother Stephen in Akron, Ohio for a period of about three years, then disappeared from the family radar. Little is known about what he did between that time and his death in December of 1991 in a suburb of Detroit. In late 2005, new information became available about Uncle Pat and family he left behind. His granddaugher, MIchele Fica, came across the family Web site and has been able to fill some gaps. Uncle Pat's son, Patrick, married Nadine Shirley Curry in 1953. They had two children,Michael and Michele. She lives in Michigan and Michael,. who is married with two children, is a pilot for Delta and lives in Georgia.
